Finding the perfect dress for summer travel seems like a simple task…

When I sat down to write this post, though, I realized I actually have a lot of requirements. Here’s my list: It has to be stylish, comfortable and layer-able—all a given. It also needs to be wrinkle-free and easy to clean, of course. Most importantly, though, it has to be able to stand up to humidity and heat, and that’s where it gets a little more complicated.

It turns out a lot of dresses—even sundresses—are lined or have long-ish sleeves. That means you can start getting sweaty fast, especially in the middle of a crowded street fair in 90 + degree heat, for example.

Here are a few I’ve found that stand the test of summer heat so you can effortlessly travel on.

Uniqlo Linen Blend Sleeveless Dress

Even cotton can get a little warm (read: sweaty!) in the humidity, so try linen as an alternative. This one has a fun flare shape and is universally flattering.

Sezane Assia Crochet Shift Dress

This gorgeous French brand has the effortless look nailed. I see this one looking amazing with sandals during the day and then layered up with a denim jacket at night.

Gap Embroidered Cami Midi Dress

Gap won me over here. I love the white, crisp look for summer. I can see this as a perfect beach trip dress, or for exploring a coastal city.

Amazon Viishow Maxi Dress with Pockets

For all you last minute packers, this highly-rated Maxi has outstanding reviews and is available on Prime. It comes in eight colors. Plus it has pockets! What more could you ask for?

Have you found any dresses perfect for traveling in the summer?
